Thai class visit to Chiang Mai National Museum. There were extensive, informative exhibits displaying artefacts, relics and art, like the beautiful piece of Wat Phra Singh (photo). As a result I gained further knowledge regarding history, culture and architecture from previous eras 🙏🛕🏤🖼 Songkran "water festival" (Thai New Year) in the best place to celebrate it 🤩 This includes a fun few days of water splashing, firing water, applying talc to face, Buddhist parades and making merit 🙏🔫😅 Monk Ordination in Phrae Province. The ceremony at Wat Sop Sai was where our friend got inducted into monkhood. A very interesting experience helping me gain further knowledge on both Buddhism and Thai vocabulary 🛕👵 Trip to the Chocolate Factory Khao Yai, Khao Yai National Park where there were an excellent selection of chocolates, chocolate-based cakes and snacks, and appetising drinks. They also run chocolate-making workshops 🏔🍫😋 At the recent Chiang Mai 🇹🇭⚽️ Derby, late March - Chiang Mai FC vs Chiang Mai United. A good turnout to a game that finished 2-1 to Chiang Mai United. Photos taken from the Home stand amongst Chiang Mai FC fans 🔵🔴 Met some friendly Buffalo whilst riding around Klang Dong pre sunset. Lovely backdrop of mountains and trees amongst which is the large White Buddha from Wat Thep Phithak temple (previously posted) 🦬🌴⛰️🛕 Recent 4-team tournament with our squad being the overall winners after 6 matches. We had enough players for 2 teams, using subs in the last games. To celebrate we had Som Tum 🥗 and beer 🍺 with other players, contributing to a great atmosphere ⚽️🏆🟡 Recent sightings of Venus and Jupiter which were amazingly visible by the naked eye, a personal first. NARIT (National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand) released similar photos from Chiang Mai online 👀🪐🌒😯 Class of Level 3. In February 2023 our group graduated from the Thai Language and Culture course at CMU. Several of us studied together for the previous level and are continuing onto the 4th year 🇹🇭🧑‍🎓🗞📖
